Taylor L.

General Manager

Taylor is the dedicated General Manager at Paw Commons Encinitas, bringing over 10 years of experience in the pet care industry and two years of leadership with the Paw Commons team. Her journey in pet care began in high school, where her involvement in Future Farmers of America (FFA) deepened her passion for animals and inspired her to dedicate her career to helping them.

Before joining Paw Commons, Taylor successfully managed another pet resort for eight years, where she developed strong expertise in canine behavior, team leadership, and operational excellence. Over the years, she has trained more than 45 individuals, mentoring many into becoming skilled and confident dog handlers.

Taylor holds professional certifications in Animal CPR and has completed a Dog Bather Certification Program, along with participation in a Dog Training Apprenticeship. These experiences, combined with her hands-on leadership, have given her a deep understanding of canine communication and compassionate care.

Her philosophy centers around patience and trust — she believes in always moving at the dog’s pace, understanding that trust is earned, not given. Taylor finds the most reward in watching fearful or anxious dogs learn to relax and feel safe in her team’s care.

A lifelong advocate for senior and special needs dogs, Taylor has fostered countless seniors for the past seven years, offering them love and comfort in their golden years. One of her most meaningful experiences was rescuing a Beagle named Cali, a fearful survivor of a hoarding case. After months of gentle work and trust-building, Cali became part of Taylor’s family and lived her remaining years surrounded by care and affection.

At Paw Commons, Taylor is deeply committed to providing both her staff and clients with a safe, supportive, and trustworthy environment. She ensures her team is well-trained, confident, and compassionate, always leading by example. Her dedication to quality care extends to her own four dogs, and she proudly tells clients that she would trust her team with them without hesitation.

Groomer

Daniella is a compassionate and skilled Dog Groomer at Paw Commons, bringing seven years of experience in the pet care industry. Her journey began with a simple but powerful motivation — a lifelong love for animals and a desire to build a career centered around their well-being.

Since joining Paw Commons, Daniella has become known for her patient and gentle approach, especially when working with nervous or fearful dogs. She finds the most rewarding part of her job in gaining the trust of animals who may be anxious or unsure, helping them feel safe and comfortable throughout the grooming process.

Daniella believes that communication is key — both with pets and their owners. She takes the time to explain grooming procedures and safety protocols, ensuring every client understands the care their pet will receive. Her method focuses on taking things slow and never forcing a dog beyond its comfort level, always prioritizing safety and emotional well-being.

Outside of work, Daniella shares her home with four beloved dogs, who inspire her every day to continue learning and improving her craft. Her natural empathy and dedication to positive pet experiences make her a trusted member of the Paw Commons grooming team.

Zayra

Groomer

With over 12 years of experience in the pet care industry and 7 years as a valued Groomer at Paw Commons, Zayra brings unmatched skill, patience, and passion to every grooming session. Her journey began at PetSmart, where she started as a bather before completing their professional grooming program. From there, her dedication and love for animals turned grooming into not just a career, but a calling.

Zayra is known for her gentle approach, working at each pet’s pace to ensure they feel calm and secure throughout the grooming process. She takes pride in building lasting bonds with her clients and their pets, many of whom she has cared for over several years. One of her most memorable experiences was helping a Pomeranian named Muffin—previously unable to be groomed by others—learn to trust again through her patient and compassionate care.

Her favorite part of grooming is fluffing and prepping dogs for their haircuts, where her attention to detail shines. She is always ready to lend a helping hand to her teammates, whether assisting with baths, nail trims, or mentoring new groomers on proper handling and bathing techniques.

Zayra’s approach centers on transparency and communication. She ensures every client feels confident in their pet’s care by clearly explaining each step of the grooming process and offering updates via text or phone. Before any service, she carefully checks every dog’s coat, ears, teeth, and nails to ensure they are healthy and ready for grooming.

Outside of work, Zayra shares her home with a loving family of pets — two dogs (Casey, a Husky-Golden Retriever mix, and Rogue, a Doberman), two cats (Ash, a silver tabby, and Binx, a rescued Norwegian Forest cat), and a hamster named Eugene. When she’s not at the salon, you can find her at the gym, on a long road trip, or enjoying anything Halloween-themed.

Her warmth, professionalism, and dedication to every pet she meets make Zayra a trusted and respected member of the Paw Commons grooming team.

Adrienne A.

Groomer

Adrienne is a Professional Dog Groomer at Paw Commons, where she has been an integral part of the grooming team since 2018. After taking a short break in 2023 to welcome her daughters, she returned in 2025 to continue doing what she loves most—helping pets look and feel their best.

A certified Professional Pet Stylist since 2017, Adrienne began her career after completing a formal grooming academy program. Her passion for animal care and her drive to create a positive grooming experience for every dog have made her a trusted and respected member of the Paw Commons team. With six years of professional grooming experience, she specializes in working with a wide range of breeds, including Standard Poodles, and takes pride in her precision, patience, and gentle approach.

Adrienne believes in creating a calm, stress-free environment for every pet in her care. She never forces a dog into an uncomfortable situation, instead taking the time to build trust through patience and compassion. This philosophy has helped countless dogs overcome grooming anxiety—including one client’s pet who, after being previously traumatized at another salon, learned to trust again under Adrienne’s care.

Her favorite part of grooming is the transformation process—seeing a pet’s confidence shine through after a fresh cut and knowing that both the pet and owner leave happy. Adrienne also plays an important role in supporting her teammates by ensuring boarding baths are completed on time, helping maintain a smooth and organized environment for both clients and staff.

Outside of work, Adrienne enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new places, hiking, going to the beach, and visiting the zoo with her daughters. At home, she’s surrounded by her three beloved dogs:

Speckles, a 15-year-old Pomeranian–Poodle mix,

Rover, an 8-year-old Blue Nose Pit Bull, and

Beverly, a 5-year-old French Bulldog.

Each brings their own personality and joy into her life, keeping every day lively and full of love.

For Adrienne, grooming isn’t just a career—it’s a way to make a meaningful impact in the lives of pets and their families by combining skill, empathy, and dedication with every groom.

Amanda B.

Groomer

Amanda is a Professional Dog Groomer at Paw Commons, where she has been bringing care and creativity to the grooming salon for nearly a year. Her passion for animals began early in life and deepened when she took her first job as a bather at Petco. That experience sparked her love for grooming and inspired her to complete Petco’s Professional Grooming Program, launching her career as a dedicated pet stylist.

With two years of hands-on grooming experience, Amanda has worked with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and personalities. She takes pride in her ability to connect with even the most anxious or challenging dogs, helping them build trust and feel comfortable during their spa day. One of her proudest moments came when she successfully groomed Cotto, a dog known for being nervous and reactive. Through patience and consistent reassurance, Amanda helped him grow more relaxed and confident with each visit — a transformation that reflects her gentle, trust-based approach to grooming.

Amanda’s favorite part of her job is creating transformations that make both pets and their parents happy. Whether it’s helping a shy dog come out of its shell or delivering a fresh, stylish cut that leaves tails wagging, she finds joy in every moment of her work. Her calm, reassuring nature helps pets feel safe, while her commitment to client communication ensures that every owner’s expectations are met with care and professionalism.

Within the Paw Commons team, Amanda is known for being a supportive and dependable teammate. She readily offers help to her colleagues when she has extra time and enjoys sharing grooming tips and techniques with bathers who want to learn and grow in their roles.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys expressing her creativity through art, staying active with kickboxing, exploring new restaurants, thrift shopping, and camping. Her curiosity and zest for life mirror the same enthusiasm she brings to her work — ensuring that every dog she grooms not only looks their best but feels loved, safe, and cared for.

Nicole V.

Trainer

Nicole is a Professional Dog Trainer at Paw Commons, bringing over five years of professional training experience and a lifelong passion for animal care to every dog she works with. Her journey began long before her time at Paw Commons—rooted in a deep curiosity for animal behavior and a commitment to helping pets and their owners build better, more trusting relationships.

Nicole’s love for animals started with her own family pets and evolved into a professional pursuit when she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, specializing in Animal Husbandry, Equine Behavior, and the care of exotic and endangered species. Her travels to Costa Rica inspired a lasting dedication to animal welfare and conservation, further strengthening her understanding of the diverse needs of animals across species.

Before joining Paw Commons in early 2025, Nicole spent five years working as a Professional Dog Trainer and several more years pet-sitting for clients in her community. Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments—from wolf hybrids and shepherds to retrievers, poodles, and pugs. Her calm and intuitive approach allows her to connect even with the most timid or reactive dogs, helping them gain confidence and enjoy training sessions.

Nicole holds both an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator Certification and a Petco Dog Training Certificate, demonstrating her dedication to professional development and training excellence. She is known for her patient and empathetic methods—avoiding direct eye contact, moving slowly, and letting the dog make the first approach—to create a safe and trusting environment.

Among her many rewarding experiences, Nicole recalls helping a shy shepherd mix overcome fear and begin thriving in group classes, as well as teaching dogs fun and functional tricks like retrieving toys and placing them into baskets on command. Her favorite moments include “Sniffari” walks, where dogs get to explore the world through their senses while practicing confidence and focus.

At Paw Commons, Nicole collaborates closely with her teammates to discuss training progress, address behavioral challenges, and ensure each dog’s individual needs are met. She also takes the time to speak with clients, answering their questions and offering insight into her training process. Her thoughtful communication and genuine care help pet parents feel confident that their dogs are in good hands.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys hiking, painting, and reading poetry. She shares her life with Rafa, a lovable and emotionally expressive brindle pit bull mix who keeps her inspired every day. Nicole describes herself as both disciplined and free-spirited, believing that a good sense of humor and staying active are key to a happy, balanced life—both for people and their dogs.
